Both Android and iOS use the onboard GPS system. MyRideTrac works by dropping “bread crumbs” to track your driving. If you go behind buildings or take your phone and walk a distance with MyRideTrac in RIDER/NORIDER/PERSONAL mode, it will be recording your track.
Use the STOP button when you want to turn of recording. You don’t need to kill the app, the STOP button does the trick.
